Recent Update: April 2019
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires all employers who participate in the program to post the E-Verify and the Right to Work notices in an area frequented by their employees, as well as areas accessible to any potential job applicant (i.e., the general public). Facilities that are open to the public usually hang this poster right inside the entrance to the building or workplace. Otherwise, an employer can hang it in an interview room or similar area. Certain states require all employers to be enrolled in this program, while others require only those who hold state or local government contracts to enroll. All Federal Contractors are also required to participate and therefore post this notice. For the rest of the states, the E-Verify program is optional. To view a list of states, click HERE.
