Louisiana Behind the Counter Protection Act Poster

Louisiana enacted the Behind the Counter Protection Act on May 22, 2026, to provide additional safeguards for employees who regularly interact with customers. Effective August 1, 2026, the law strengthens protections for covered retail, food-service, and hospitality workers and provides increased criminal penalties for individuals who threaten, assault, or commit other acts of violence against them.

This laminated 12" x 18" poster helps communicate that threats, abuse, and violence against employees are criminal acts under Louisiana law. Displaying the notice in a visible location can help deter misconduct and reinforce your business’s commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
